Flirting Around The Cypress (830)
A quiet serene view in the cypress swamps of the bayou. Here a great blue heron is weaving about the cypress trunks while flirting with another nearby heron. The limpkin (Aramus guarauna), is also called carrao, courlan, and crying bird, This beautiful Limpkin was photographed at the Orland Wetlands Park in FLorida. It was perched high above a small pond and was looking a little sleepy in the morning sun. Perhaps having had a satisfying breakfast as slight remnants of the morning meal can be seen on the bill. White Ibis In Red
This White Ibis was photographed during a lucky scene that gave rise to a gorgeous red back drop. The scene was at Sebastian Inlet in Florida. The birds would come in to get fresh water drinks from the rain ponds in the parking area. This particular puddle was highlighted by a red truck nearby that gave a beautiful reflection on the water in the setting sun.
