This was a favorite tree besides Owen' River in Bishop that no longer exists. This was captured several years ago during a summer trip with my son and was an early attempt at star trails photography. This was a revered location to many Eastern Sierra lovers. I wonder how many other beautiful locations have been lost to nature as time marches on.
This an early attempt at Milky Way photography while in a remote region of Death Valley National Park. My son and I had some time off during summer several years ago and we had a lot of fun exploring the Eastern Sierras for photo locations. Since then it has become one of my favorite locations to visit.
My son and I had a wonderful experience in the Bristlecone Pine forests of the White Mountains a few years ago. During that trip, I had experimented with star trails but had completely forgotten about the images until recently, I decided to clean up my hard drive. I was about to delete the files but then decided to give them a try and was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. So, this is my first attempt at star trails.
