  • Bald Eagle searching for prey at the old Valdez town site. Clearly undeterred by my presence. Was shooting with a 500mm prime and couldn't back up any further on the shore line to catch a full wing span in flight. An amazing eagle with focused attention and not easily distracted by a mere human!

This adorable Yukon Porcupine immediately captured my heart. It was merrily munching away on flowers on The Top Of The World Highway in Canada. Having never photographed a porcupine before, I was a little hesitant about potential quill throwing my way. However, this little critter was more than just a little curious and would poke it's head out to check up on my activities now and again. Not wanting to push my luck, I took a few snaps and let it get back to the delightful flower munching. Thankful for the wonderful opportunity to see such a roadside beauty! www.shootingnomads.com
