Nothing cuter than watching prairie dog families! They play, wrestle, tickle and clearly work great together in family units out in the wild. When danger is sensed or the mom wants the little ones to come home, she starts to give a yelp. This little one reached up to silence the mom as if to say, "please mom, you dont have to use the mom voice! I am right here" Photographed in the Badlands National Park area of South Dakota. Eastern Gray Squirrel peaking in for a closer view through my front window. Photographed in Piedmont, SC. May 2020.
This adorable Yukon Porcupine immediately captured my heart. It was merrily munching away on flowers on The Top Of The World Highway in Canada. Having never photographed a porcupine before, I was a little hesitant about potential quill throwing my way. However, this little critter was more than just a little curious and would poke it's head out to check up on my activities now and again. Not wanting to push my luck, I took a few snaps and let it get back to the delightful flower munching. Thankful for the wonderful opportunity to see such a roadside beauty! www.shootingnomads.com
